About The Terra Vista Foundation (TVF)
The mission of The Terra Vista Foundation is to advance research, programming and events that serve adults and their families living with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias.
TVF serves as the local voice for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias and their caregivers, serving all western Chicago, Illinois suburbs including: Hinsdale, Oakbrook Terrace, Oakbrook, Elmhurst, Villa Park, Lombard, Glen Ellyn, Downers Grove, LaGrange and Clarendon Hills.
While TVF provides specific local and regional programming, it maintains a national platform and agenda.
On local, regional and national levels, TVF advocates for improved public policies for the benefit of people with dementia and their caregivers.
TVF seeks to support innovative programs, modalities and technologies to assist those with Alzheimer’s, their families and related professionals.
Opportunities to enhance the understanding of issues affecting seniors and their families.
In addition to educational programming, TVF has keen interest in the use of non-invasive modalities, including healthtech, communication technologies, music, art, science, ipads/tablets, brain games, etc. to positively impact seniors. TVF actively invites inquiries and seeks to pilot such modalities (See how to submit program on events page- LINK).
Although it has lofty goals, TVF always remembers that at the end of the day, it’s about the INDIVIDUALS. That each person, senior or caregiver, is unique and deserving of the optimum support and care. TVF wishes to improve, help and assist the often overwhelmed families and caregivers, prevent burnout and enhance quality of life.
All Foundation board members have experienced the challenges and opportunities of Alzheimer’s/dementia personally. Their commitment is personal and meaningful.
Interdisbersed TV events with community events form hospitals and stuff.
